Riley Park Magic!
For the past six weeks Calla and I have been teaching art classes at Riley Park Community Centre and it's been quite the experience! We teach ages 6-8 on Mondays and 9-12 on Thursdays. Both groups have created some amazing art while learning (we hope) a lot about process.
We wanted to share some of their work on this blog... starting with the stained glass project which we did with both classes. Here are the finished pieces from the 9-12s!

8" x 10" surface - wax paper / plexi glass
sticky substance - glue stick / white glue / gel medium
bits & scraps - tissue paper / hand made paper
black paper for silhouettes - card stock
Water down some white glue and paint tissue paper squares onto the wax paper. Overlapping to create new colours is recommended. Allow piece to dry before gluing on silhouette.

Marley - age 11
